Engine trouble at Sorel

The "Duzgit Endeavour" suffered a main engine failure near Sorel, Quebec, in position 46 03.45 N, 73 06.05 W, on Sep 23, 2018, at 02.10 a.m. Subsequently, the vessel proceeded to the anchorage to assess the problem. It berthed in Montreal the same day at noon and sailed again on Sep 26.

Allision in Brunsbüttel

On Jan 24, 2018, at 2 pm. the "Düzgit Endeavour" allided with the gate III of the great southern lock of the Kiel Canal in Brunsbüttel upon entering the lock. The bulbous bow hit the rubber fender at the inner side of the gate. The holding device of the rubber strip suffered damage on a length of about one meter and must be renewed. The ship sufffered no apparent damage and was able to continue its voyage after consultation with the association for transport and traffic management. It was underway from Rotterdam to Klaipeda, ETA Jan 26 at noon.
