Robbers stole life raft in Mamonal
Two robbers were noticed by the duty crew on board the 'Otago Harbour', while she was anchored at Mamonal on July 29, 2021, at 12.30 a.m. Immediately, the Officer on Watch (OOW) was informed and raised the vessel's alarm. The crew was mustered, and a search was conducted at the forecastle area. Upon being sighted by the crew, the perpetrators escaped in a boat. The master immediately informed the Cartagena Port Authority and the Coast Guard about the incident. One six-man life raft was stolen. The Coast Guard came to the vessel and left after confirming that the crew was safe. The ship departed Mamonal at 11.30 p.m., bound for Puerto Brisa, where she arrived on Aug 1 at 8.45 p.m.
