Ship in danger of running aground after rudder failure
On Dec 29, 2015, the "Fahri Eksioglu" suffered rudder failure and had to be kept from running onto the shore at Rumelia Fortress in İstanbul by an emergency anchoring. The rudder was locked due to an unknown reason and the ship started to be dragge towards the beach. It could be stopped ten meters off the shore.
