Allision on the Hunte

On July 8, 2019, at 5.30 p.m. the "Dione", 1338 ts (EU-No.: 4000530; MMSI-No.: 211458150; CS: DB9898), allided with the Cäcilien Bridge on the Hunte when the bascule bridge was lifted 1,6 meters. The wheelhouse had been lowered, but the ship, however, did not fit. Also the car of the master which was stored on deck was severely damaged. The vessel berthed off the lock at the Westfalen Dam after the accident. The police found out that the master had misjudged the height and did not lower the wheelhouse enough so that it hit the bottom of the bridge, suffering significant damage. The "Dione" had sailed from Bremerhaven to Dörpen at 12.45 p.m. with a cargo of containers. Grounding on Harriersand

On Feb 1, 2013, the "Dione" ran aground at Harriersand on the Weser. The ship was underway from Minden to Bremerhaven, when it got stuck at the northern tip of the river bank. Help was soon at hand and the ship was pulled off by a tug. It returned to Brake in the afternoon and docked ath the Niedersachsen Quay for investigations at 7.30 p.m.

Smoking vessel in Engter

On May 8, 2012, at 4 p.m. the fire rescue of Engter and Bramsche was called to the "Dione" in the port of Engter. While the ship was transiting the Mittelland Canal, he remarked development of smoke and entered the port in time. With breathing apparatus the firemen were able to enter the engine room. There was no open fire yet. The firemen shut down the generator which was responsible for the development of the smoke due to a technical failure and ventilated the engine room.
