McDermott awarded major contracts in Malaysia
US offshore engineering firm McDermott International has secured two major contracts in Malaysia, one from Sarawak Shell and the other from Sapura Exploration and Production, for the Pan Malaysia field development located offshore of Sarawak. McDermott’s scope of work for Sarawak Shell includes the transportation and installation of jackets, topsides and pipelines for the Gorek gas field while works for Sapura includes the transportation and installation of jackets, topsides and pipelines for the Larak and Bakong gas fields. McDermott will also fabricate risers and spools for the two customers. McDermott is scheduled to use its installation vessel Derrick Barge 30 for these jobs.
