Technical troubles off Flamborough Head
On June 19, 2021, at 7.10 a.m. the 'Cornion', while enroute from Ipswich to Santander with a cargo of 3158,53 tonnes of steel straps, encountered incorrect oil levels in the engine 14,6 miles Southeast of Flamborough Head in position 54 00 40.2N, 000 15 49.2E. Repairs were estimated to be completed within a quarter of an hour. At 11 a.m. the ship required to clean the lubricant oil from main engine system, in position lat 53 50 29.0N, long 000 39 31.8E which was estimated to take 1,5 hours. The vessel resumed its voyge after completiion of the repairs with an ETA as of June 23.
Fire in engine room
On June 25, 2020, a fire broke out in the engine room of athe 'Cornion' in Sagunto. The fire was extinguished by the engine crew, no injures were reported. The ship suffered damagesin an unknown amount. It was berthed in Sagunto since Jun 11.
Ship suffered cylinder trouble
The 'Cornion', while en route from Antwerp to Santander with 3244 tonnes of fertilizer as cargo and eight crew members on board, suffered a problem with its cylinder head 29 miles south of Prawle Point, in position 49 44 45 N, 003 30 45.6 W, on March 9, 2020, at 1.10 p.m. The estimated time for repairs was two hours. The 'Cornion' resumed its voyage at 3.20 p.m. with an ETA as of March 11.
