Man jumped from ramp
On July 12 at noon , the Paros Port Authority was informed that during the departure of the 'Champion Jet 2' from the port of Parikia, Paros, a 24-year-old man jumped from the ramo at the moment when it had risen to a small height from the pier. The Port Authority of Milos was conducting a preliminary investigation under the instructions of the Public Prosecutor's Office. At the same time the procedure for imposing administrative sanctions against the master has been launched, because he did not comply with the repeated orders of the Port Authority to close the ramps during the process of attempting to moor the ship.
Breaking mooring rope damaged vehicle
Before the departure of the 'Champion Jet 2' from Sifnos for the execution of its scheduled route and while the vessel was still moored at the wharf, the starboard stern mooring rope was severed due to adverse weather conditions on the morning of July 19, 2024. The rope hit a two-wheeled vehicle with two passengers, causing the vehicle and its passengers to fall onto the pier. Officials of the Port Authority went to the scene immediately, where the citizens were found in good health, while damage was found to thei vehicle. Afterwards, they boarded the vessel bound for Milos where, after docking at the port, they went to the Milos Health Center for a medical check-up and then disembarked without further hospitalization. A preliminary investigation was carried out by the Sifnos Port Station.
