Invitation to bid for purchase
The Singapore Supreme Court stated that pursuant to the Order of Court dated Jun 11, 2020, all interested parties were invited to bid for the purchase of the 'Sea Longitude' by private treaty. The bids must be submitted in United States Dollars together with a deposit of 50,000 United States Dollars in local banker's draft made in favour of "The Sheriff Of Singapore" and should be placed in a sealed envelope marked "Tender for Sea Longitude" and sent to the Sheriff?s Office, Legal Registry, Level 2, 1 Supreme Court Lane, Singapore 178879, which should reach him no later than 1500 hrs, on Tuesday, Jul 28, 2020. Bids made without the accompanying deposit will be rejected. The deposit shall be returned to unsuccessful bidders. The vessel will be sold on "as is where is" basis, on the Sheriff's standard terms and conditions of sale. All bids are to remain valid for a period of 3 months from the date the bidding closes.
Tanker arrested in Singapore
The Singapore Supreme Court arreested the 'Sea Longitude' in Singapore on March 31, 2020, at 4.30 p.m. The arresting solicitor was Allen & Gledhill LLP. The vessel was located at Eastern Special Purpose Anchorage A/5517B.
Collision on Houston Ship Channel
The container m/v "Monte Alegre", coming from Altamira, and the "Chembulk Houston" collided on Mar 5, 2015, at 1.55 p.m. south of Eagle Point near San Leon in Houston. The Houston Ship Channel was closed between buoys 26 and 42 until 3 p.m. Both vessels suffered slight damages. They were proceeding to port at the time of collision and docked in port afterwards. The "Monte Alegre" berthed at the Barbours Cut Terminal at 11.40 p.m., the "Chembulk Houston", which had just arrived from the Ilha da Conceicao in Rio de Janeiro, at the Morgans Point Pier at 11.45 p.m.
