Mooring line foulded propeller

The "Esta Desgagnes" was disabled on Jan 20, 2019, due to a mooring line in the propeller in Tracy, Quebec, in position 46 02.926 N, 073 07.105 W, on Jan 20, 2019, at 12.30 a.m. A diver was caled remove the obstruction, and on Jan 21 the ship berthed in Sorel.

Engine failure off Quebec

The "Esta Desgagnes", en route from Sept Iles to Quebec, suffered an engine failure, in position 046 47 29 N, 071 13 34 W, two miles from Quebec on Dec 2, 2018, at 11.25a.m. The crew carried out repairs and the vessel resumed its voyage and berthed at the Levis Quebec Pier at 11.15 p.m.

Tanker sank recreational vessel

The U.S. Coast Guard responded to a collision between a 17-foot recreational boat and the "Esta Desgagnes" in Lake St. Clair approximately two miles offshore east of Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan, in the morning of June 4, 2017. The master of the vessel immediately hailed the Coast Guard on VHF channel 16 to report the collision and that the operator of the recreational vessel was in the water. A rescue crew from Coast Guard Station St. Clair Shores launched a response boat and found the operator of the recreational boat clinging to a buoy. He was uninjured, but his boat was damaged and sank just outside the channel. The Coast Guard investigators were currently investigating the cause of the collision.
