Grounding off Ribeira
On May 13, 2019, around 6 p.m. the "Boteira Primero", 222 gt (IMO: 9252113), with a crew of eight on board suffered rudder trouble and veered off course so it got stuck on the rocks off the Sargo lighthouse, Santa Uxia, in the Ria Arousana between Aguiño and Sálvora. The ship was listing to port side, but managed to refloat with the rising tide around 8.15 p.m., assisted by the Galician Coast Guard and the SAR boat "Salvamar Sargadelos" of Salvamento Marítimo. The trawler was escorted to Ribeira and safely berthed in port at 9 p.m. No pollution and no injuries were reported. She sailed again after repairs on May 30 at midnight and headed to fishing grounds in the North Atlantic.
