Tanker lost anchor
The "Bomar Ceres" lost its starboard anchor and four shackles, in position 051 48 00 N, 003 20 36 E, at the Schouwenbank anchorage on March 13, 2019. The tanker arrived in Terneuzen on March 14 at 10.24 a.m. and berthed at the Monsanto Europe NV in Antwerp on March 15 at 1.15 p.m.
Bomar Ceres saved three fishermen
On Jan 3, 2015, at 5:50 p.m., the "Bomar Ceres" reported having seen the last fragments of a distress flare two cables of the Position where the distress beacon of the fishing vessel "Saint Antoine de Padue" had been activated in the the Seine Bay around 15 nautical miles north of Courseulles-sur-Mer. The CROSS Jobourg asked the ship to divert and alerted an EC 225 helicopter of the Navy Base Maupertus. Following the Mayday Relay two other fishing vessels, the "Penelope" and "Telemachus 1" offered their assistance and were diverted to the scene. In addition, the SNSM boat "Sainte-Anne" of the station Ouistreham dispatched. The "Bomar Ceres" quickly sighted a life raft with three sailors on board and launched a rescue boat which recovered them. A diver was hoisted into the raft. After confirmation that all were rescued, the three fishermen were winched aboard the helicopter. The CROSS and the SAMU medical coordination service in Le Havre decided to transport the survivors to the hospital Monod in Le Havre, where they were delivered at 7:10 p.m. for medical examinations. The trawler had capsized and sank about 13 nautical miles north of Port-en-Bessin.
