Propulsion damage in Piraeus

On the afternoon of Oct 11, 2024, the Central Port Authority of Piraeus was informed about the blockade of the stern shaft in the starboard side propeller of the 'Blue Star 2' in the port of Piraeus. An inspection was carried out by a diving crew, and the obstruction was removed from the ship's axial system. Upon presentation of a certificate of class maintenance by the classifier monitoring it, the ship sailed from the port of Piraeus with 715 passengers on board for the scheduled route to the ports of Syros-Patmos-Leros-Kalymnos-Kos-Rhodes.

Smelter injured in accident

On May 15, 2023, at midday, the Central Port Authority of Piraeus was informed that a crew member of the 'Blue Star 2' was injured inside the ship. The smelter was transferred to a private clinic for medical treatment.

Anchor loss off Rhodes

The Central Port Authority of Rhodes was informed in the morning hours of Sep 6, 2022, by the Master of the 'Blue Star 2' about the loss of the port side anchor, while the ship was northwest of Rhodes. The ship sailed safely to the port of Akadia, Rhodes, where it disembarked its 437 passengers. The Port Authority initially banned the ship from sailing until the presentation of a class maintenance certificate by the monitoring classification society.
