Wan Hai Lines time charters Diana Containerships' 6,494 TEU ship
Wan Hai Lines (Singapore) has entered into a time charter agreement with Diana Containerships Inc for the m/v "Hamburg" a 6,494 TEU containership built in 2009.The gross charter rate is US$11,000 per day, minus a 3.75 per cent commission paid to third parties, for a minimum period of 120 days up to a maximum of 220 days. The charter commenced on December 1.The time charter is anticipated to generate $1.32 million in gross revenue over the minimum period of the time charter, reported MarineLink.com.The Hamburg was previously chartered to CMA CGM at a gross charter rate of US$6,700 per day, minus a 3.5 per cent commission paid to third parties.Diana Containerships Inc's fleet currently comprises six post-Panamax and five Panamax containerships. Diana Containerships Inc. takes delivery of postpanamax m/v Hamburg
Diana Containerships Inc., through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has taken delivery of the m/v Hamburg, a 2009-built Post-Panamax container vessel of approximately 6,500 TEU capacity that the Company entered into an agreement to purchase in July 2015. The "Hamburg" is chartered to MSC-Mediterranean Shipping Co. S.A., Geneva, at a net charter rate of US$14,000 per day. Based on the existing time charterparty, the charterer has the option to redeliver the vessel at any time between January 13, 2016 and March 13, 2016.
