Engine trouble off Istanbul Strait
The 'Azov Concept' suffered an engine failure while en route from Novorossiysk to Tuzla at the northern entrance of the Istanbul Strait on March 2, 2020. The strait transit permission was cancelled by the strait authority. The vessel arrived at the Gisan shipyard in Altinova on March 5 at 4.50 p.m. It went through a detailed inspection, and repairs have commenced by an authorized engineering company under supervision of the owner's superintendent.
Stuck in ice, supplies ran out
Fourteen vessels trapped in ice in Azov sea are running out of fuel and supplies. Albros’ vessel Azov Concept is one of them, as of Feb 12 she is running out of provisions, fuel left for 4 days, fresh water for 1 day, provisions for 1 day.
