On the morning of Sep 30, 2024, the Port Authority of Salamis was informed that the 'Arch. Michael' with 19 crew members, while carrying out repair work at the pier of a shipyard in Ampelakia, broke lose from its moorings and went adrift. The 'Arch- Michael' allided with a docked tanker and then moved away towards the open waters. Port Authority officials went to the scene immediately, while the bulk carrier, assisted by the tugs "Alexander 5", "Christos XLI", "Christos III" and "Christos XXXVII" was moved bach to the shipyard pier.
