Ferry ran aground off Stignæsverket
On Dec 7, 2018, the "Agersø" ran aground between Stigsnæs and Kulkajen at Stignæsverket after the master had fallen asleep at the helm. As well as the grounding of the ferry "Omø"(IMO-No.: 9310862), between Omø and Stigsnæs on Nov 23 the pressure on the ferry personnel as a result of the long-standing conflict between the partners about the operation of the two routes were thought to have been the cause. The conflict allegedly led to three sickness reports from a staff of less than 20 employees. The master of the "Agersø" had not sleeping properly at night due to the uncertainty that has been about how the ferries will be operated in the future. The Slagelse Municipality wants to make the two ferry routes to a single unit where staff can cover each other in case of illness so none of the ferries would have to be sidelined due to illness, even though there was available staff on the other ferry, as happened seven weeks ago.
Ferry sidelined due to engine damage
The "Agersø III" suffered an engine damage on Aug 22, 2018, and was sidelined in the port of Stigsneas at 12.30 p.m. for reparis. The ferries between Agersø and Omø were now sailing at a reduced schedule. Repairs were expected to take about one week.
Ferry sailed into breakwater
In the evening of Mar 31, 2014, the "Agersø III" allided with the quay at Stigsnæs and had to be taken out of service. The ferry had sailed into the breakwater due to dense fog. The ship suffered bow damage. The ferry "Omø" had to be inserted following an emergency plan on the route to and from Agersø. Only three months ago the ferry had to enter a shipyard because of an allision. The ferry was now again docked and investigated.
