Passenger boat destroyed by fire
In the evening of Aug 24, 2014, the Swedish Coast Guard put out a large fires on the "Tärnan" at Söderöra in the Roslagens archipelago. The Coast Guard dispatched the two ships "KBV 315" and "KBV 311" to assist the fire department with fire fighting. The fire spread quickly, and the extensive fire-fighting operations took more than seven hours. The boat was completely engulfed in flames. Fortunately, there were no people on board. The passenger boat was, however, destroyed. As there was the risk of an oil leakage, the Coast Guard laid out booms at the site to prevent the spread of oil.
