Medevac off Cape May
The US Coast Guard medevaced and ill fisherman approximately 50 miles east of Cape May, New Jersey, from the "Susan Marie" on June 15, 2017, at about 3 p.m. The Coast Guard was notified by the crew of the fishing vessel that a crewmember reportedly collapsed for unknown reasons at about 2 p.m.. A Coast Guard rescue crew aboard an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City was diverted by watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay to medevac the man. Crew members hoisted the man aboard their helicopter at 3 p.m., and brought him to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center to receive medical attention at 3:29 p.m.
