Fire on ferry

The ‘Moli’ caught fire in the port of Šibenik in the morning of Sep 20, 2020, at 5.30 a.m. Smoke billowed from the interior of the ship which has been anchored at the old waterfront for several years and the owner of which was wanted, arrived at the 112 Center at around 5.30 a.m. The fire could not be localized insde the cabin, and the firefighters coulld hardly put it out due to the high temperature inside the ship. They were cooling the hull of the ship and trying to prevent the fire from spreading to other rooms at 2 p.m. The ship was unmanned. 15 fire fighters with five fire trucks and one fire boat were involved in extinguishing the fire.
