Ferry suffered technical issue
The 'Loch Linnhe', serving on the route Tayinloan-Gigha, suffered a technical issue with the generator on Jan 29. As a consequence, the scheduled departures from Gigha at 10:30 a.m. and from Tayinloan at 11:00 a,m. had initzally to be cancelled by the operator Calmac. After the issue was successfully adressed, the sailings were reinstated.
Departure at risk due to radar maintenance
The 'Loch Linnhe', serving on the route Tayinloan- Gigha, needed essential maintenance on the radar on Jan 6, 2025. As a consequence,, the scheduled sailing departing Tayinloan at 2 p.m., was be liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice.
Ferry suffered issue with radar
The 'Loch Linnhe', sailing on the route Tobermory-Kilchoan, suffered an issue with the radar on the morning of Dec 6, 2024. As a consequence, the 07:20 a.m. sailing from Tobermory departed at 08:30 a.m., and the 08:00 a.m. sailing from Kilchoan departed at 09:10 a.m. The 11:00 a.m. sailing from Tobermory was due to depart as scheduled. Due to the ongoing issue, the vessel remained restricted to operating in daylight hours only. As a result, the amended timetables were operated on Dec 9 with the ship departing from Tobermory at 08:30 a.m. 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and from Kilchoan at 09:10 a,m,, 11:45 a.m,. and, 3:15 p.m. and on Dec 10 from Tobermory at 08:30 a.m. 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m, and 2:30 p.m. and from Kilchoan at 09:10 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 1:45 p.m. and, 3:15 p.m. An update on the progress of repairs was expected on Dec 9.
