Fire in Ambarli

The "Icdas 5" caught fire in Ambarli Port in the morning of July 28, 2019. The ship was loaded with scrap when the fire broke out for an unknown reasons. Port officials informed the firefighters and police teams. Beylikdüzü-, Yakuplu-, Avcılar- and Bakirkoy firefighters were dispatched to the scene. It took them 30 minutes to gain control of the flames. Then they did cooling work at the scene for a while. The police launched an investigation. Engine failure in Aeagean Sea

The "Icdas-5", being en route from Icdas to Rotterdam, suffered an engine failure in the Aegean Sea in position 37 24 06 N, 24 01 12 E on May 24, 2019, at 1 p.m. As repairs could not be carried out by the crew, the Greek tug "Pantanassa" (IMO: 9332561) was tasked to tow the vessel to Cesme with an ETA at its anchorage as of May 26.
