Enroute from Szczecin to Esbjerg the "Hav Sand" had an allision with the tail of the Northern lock of the Kiel Canal locks in Kiel-Holtenau on March 1, 2018, at 11 p.m. The ship had turned on to enter the lock when it veered to starboard being caught by a wind gust or due to a wrong maneuver. Excavator was on fire

Wed Feb 22 12:54:40 CET 2017 Timsen

An excavator aboard the "Hav Sand" caught fire in the afternoon of Feb 21, 2017, at the Biomar plant at Myre. The fire was extinguished by the crew before the municipal fire department reached the scene. Paramedics also moved out, and the driver of the excavator was examined by them, but the man was not injured. One person who participated in the fire fighting was sent to the doctor. Probably the engine of the excavator had caught fire. The ship left Myre bound to Fuglafjord on Feb 22 at 9.30 a.m. Norwegian reports with photos and video: http://www.vol.no/nyheter/oksnes/2017/02/21/Gravemaskinmotor-begynte-%C3%A5-brenne-14292970.ece https://www.blv.no/oksnes/nyheter/brann/rykket-ut-til-brann-i-fraktebat-ved-biomar/s/5-9-185233
