Medevac off Penmarc'h
On Aug 31, 2021, a crew member of the 'Sergagil' was innjured in an accident and needed to be medevaced. The CROSS Etel coordinated the response. At around 7.45 am, the crew contacted the emergency services after the man in his 40s, had been injured on board. The ship was then about 130 nautical miles southwest of Penmarc’h. A Caiman helicopter of the French Navy took off from Brest with a medical team from the naval base on board. It arrived in the area around 8:50 a.m. The injured was quickly hoisted . The Caiman then headed for Brest where it landed at 9:30 a.m. A fire engine picked up the victim and transported him to the Cavale Blanche CHRU.
Medevac off Penmarc'h
On April 14, 2019, at 12:10 p.m. the CROSS Etel coordinated the medevac of a French sailor from the "Sergagil" about 70 miles southwest of Penmarc'h. A Cayman helicopter of the naval base in Lanvéoc was deployed to take the injured fisherman off. He was hoisted at 2.30 p.m. and delivered to the hospital Cavale Blanche in Brest at 2.55 p.m.

On May 28, 2018, at approximately 12:45 p.m. the Marine Medical Advisory Center (SMAC) was alterted by the owner of the "Sergagil" that one of the six crew members, aged 26, suffers from cardiac problems. The trawler was 45 miles southwest of Pointe de Penmarc'h. The Toulouse CCMM then informed the CROSS Etel.Following a conference call with the SAMU, CCMM and CROSS Etel, the decision was made to medevac the man. A Cayman helicopter of the Navy base Lanvéoc-Poulmic took off at 1:30 p.m. with a medical team on board. The doctor was hoisted aboard the ship to provide the emergency care.
