Man over board during salvage work
In the night of Nov 3, 2013, the "La Lagon", which was anchored on the Lay near the Caves Pier, broke lose from its moorings. After drifting northwest for three kilometers, the vessel was washed ashore on a rockfill dam of the Pointe de l'Aiguillon. On Nov 3, at high tide, despite rough seas, the crew managed to get the mussel dredger refloated. During the salvage operation, one of them went over board but could be recovered.
