Crew member injured off Lizard Point
A crew member of the 'Hermine' (IMO: 9245392) suffered a serious injury seven nautical miles south-southeast of Lizard Point in pos. 49 50 57 N, 005 09 46W, on March 7, 2023, at around noon The medevac of the injured crew member was required, and the MRCC Falmouth coordinated the response.
Medevac off Île-de-Batz
On July 23, 2020, a 59 year old crew member of the 'Hermine' was medevaced 25 miles off the Île-de-Batz after complaining of pain in his leg. At 9 p.m. the CROSS Corsen was alerted as his state of health required a medical evacuation. A Cayman helicopter of the French Navy was mobilized and the sailor was hoisted shortly before 11 p.m. At 11:38 p.m., he was taken care of at the Cavale-Blanche hospital in Brest. Medevac off Batz
A cre member of the "Hermine" was medevaced 11 miles off the island of Batz and taken to the hospital in Brest on May 17, 2017. At 2.40 p.m. the CROSS Corsen was informed by the fishing vessel that one man fell ill. Following a conference call with the Maritime Medical Consultation Center (MCCC) in Toulouse and the ship, it was decided to treat the sailor on board. But at 3:30 p.m., the sailor's condition deteriorated. The decision was made to evacuate him by helicopter to the hospital center of Brest. The Cross deplayed a Dragon 29 helicopter of the civil protection with a medical team on board. The aircraft arrived in the area at 4:30 p.m., the sailor was treated by the medical team and hoisted on board the helicopter. At 5.16 p.m., the helicopter landed at the Cavale Blanche hospital in Brest where the sailor was taken in charge.
