Medevac in German Bight
A pilot aboard the "Elbepilot" needed urgent medical help in the German Bight on April 29, 2023. The lifeboat "Hermann Marwede" was tasked to assist. A rescue helicopter from Northern Helicopter which happened to be flying nearby, dropped off an ambulance team on board. After receiving first aid on board the 'Elbe', the patient was hoisted and flown to a clinic on the mainland.

On July 31, 2018, the lifeboat "Hermann Merwede" medevaced a crew member of the "Elbe" who was suffering pains. The MRCC was alerted at 8.15 a.m. and deployed the lifeboat along iwth the "Anneliese Kramer" of the DGzRS station Cuxhaven to the pilot tender which was 20 miles NW of the port then. Aboard the "Anneliese Kramer" was a doctor by chance. He was transferred onto the "Elbe" and stabilized the patient who was then taken aboard the "Hermann Marwede" and treated further during the way back to Cuxhaven where an ambulance was waiting. Medevac off Cuxhaven
n June 29, 2017, around 9 p.m. the "Elbepilot" requested assistance after a crew member fell ill on board. The ship was about 17 miles NW of Cuxhaven. A sea surgeon and two paramedics boarded the lifeboat "Anneliese Kramer" and reached the pilot vessel 40 minutes later. They stabilized the patient before he was taken off in winds of 4 Beaufort and taken to Cuxhaven for further treatment.
