Medevac off Lerma

A 56-year-old crew member of the "Burgos" suffered a wound on his left hand, was assisted by a boat of the Mexican Navy on March 4, 2019. The Third Naval Region, based in Lerma, received a call for help from the Petróleos Mexicanos in Lerma, Campeche, requesting support for the injured who required medical attention in a hospital. A Defender-type vessel arrived at the area where the ship was located, 20 nautical miles northwest of Lerma, Campeche, to evacuate the crew member. He was later transferred to the dock of the Lerma Integral Port Administration, where he was handed over to Petróleos Mexicanos personnel for transfer to a hospital in the city of San Francisco de Campeche for medical care.

Tanker reincorporated by PEMEX after fire

The "Burgos" arrived at the port of Pajaritos in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, coming from Istanbul, on Oct 5 after 10 months of repairs at the Desan Shipyards. The ship was qquipped with state of the art systems of the last generation for vessels dedicated to the transport of hydrocarbons. Upon arrival at the port of Coatzacoalcos, the tanker was incorporated into the distribution of refined hydrocarbons in the Gulf of Mexico, complying with all international safety and environmental standards. In addition, it has the highest technology and ensures the preservation of the environment, safety and occupational health with the conditions of habitability and hygiene established in the International Safety Manegement (ISM), and Maritime Labor Convention (MLC), to operate in international traffic. Repairs completed

Permanent repairs for the "Burgos" have been completed in Tuzla by Aug 10, 2018. The final approval will be done by the class surveyor together with the owners representative. The tanker finally left the Istanbul region on Sep 9 at 11 p.m. and headed to Lerma, Mexico, ETA Oct 3.
