Fire off Troon
The 'Bon Ami-BA 104' suffered a fire in pos. 55 36 37.728N, 004 49 19.625W, off Troon on July 27, 2021, at 6.20 p.m. The Belfast Coastguard mobilized the RNLI all weather boat from Troon, the Ardrossan Coastguard Rescue Team and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service about the incident. The lifeboat 'Jim Moffat' was launched to the scene, and en route made contact with the casualty vessel. The crew of the trawler had managed to contain the electrical fire and was now making best speed back to Troon. The lifeboat met with the vessel and escorted it back to Troon where it was met by the firefighters and the Coastguard team. The firefighters went on board and confirmed the fire had been extinguished. The lifeboat was then stood down.
