Fear of explosion after fire
On June 26, 2015, a fire broke out aboard the "Bold Tern" in Esbjerg. For some time after the fire broke out, an explosion was feared as the fire was very close to a number of pressure gas cylinders. After the cylinders were cooled, the situation was brought under control. The fire had spread to at least five of the cylinders. All persons on the ship were immediately evacuated when the fire broke out. Tugs with fire-fighting equipment were supporting the local fire department.
