Medevac in Syros

In the afternoon hours of May 2, 2024, the Port Authority of Syros was informed about the emergency approach of the 'Blue Star Patmos' in the port. The ferry had deviated from its scheduled route, in order to disembark a sick passenger.

Ferry returned to port for medevac

The 'Blue Star Patmos' returned to Piraeus due to a medical emergency, affecting schedules to the Dodecanese islands on March 4, 2024, to drop pff a 69-year-old passenger, in order to ensure the passenger could receive the necessary medical attention. Emergency services were alerted and prepared to receive the patient upon the ferry's arrival back at the port. The incident affected the service to the islands of Patmos, Leipsoi, Leros, Kalymnos, Kos, Symi, and Rhodes. The incident caused delays and alterations to the ferry's itinerary.

Ramp damaged in allision

The Port Authority of Nisyros was informed in the evening of April 3, 2023, that the 'Blue Star Patmos', en route from the port of Tilos, while trying to approach the port, allided with a mooring pin due to adverse weather conditions and suffered damage to the port side ramp. The ship's crew raised and secured the ramo and continuing the loading with another ramp, and then set sail for the port of Kos, following the approved route (Rhodes - Symi - Tilos - Nisyros - Kos - Kalymnos - Astypalaia - Piraeus). Once docked at the port of Kos, the ship's condition was assessed by the Local Ship Inspection Unit (TKEP), and upon presentation of a certificate by the classifier monitoring it, the ship received approval for a single round trip and sailed safely to the port of Kalymnos.
