Styrene caught fire
On Feb 13, 2015, a fire broke out at the "Almira", 3585 ts (EU-No.: 2329408), at the Shipyard Kooiman in Zwijndrecht which caused a lot of smoke. The fire was quickly extinguished by the staff. At 5.45 p.m. a small amount of highly flammable styrene had leaked out from the tanker into the water of the Swinhaven which caught fire by yet unknow reasons. As the employees of the yard could extinguish the fire themselves, most fire engines of the fire department could immediately return again upon arrival. The yard announced that it won the tender on Feb 12.
