Tango Sol sailing again
The "Tango Sol" has left Hartlepool on April 10 and headed to Varna, ETA April 25. An investigation was carried out into the reason the ship was leaning, but repairs were carried out and it was allowed to go on its way after all deficiencies have been rectified to the satisfaction of the MCA. The vessel's insurers had liaised with the authorities to identify what was causing the issue so it could be righted and stabilized. The "Tango Sol" developed a heavy list to starboard side within short time and was in danger of capsizing after she docked at the Victoria quay in Hartlepool on March 29, 2019. The ship had arrived at Hartlepool on March 27 and was still listing on April 5. Timewise the crew left the ship and went ashore. The ship was under detention by the Maritime Coastguard Agency. The insurers are currently working with relevant authorities to identify the issue and rectify, although the vessel remained stable at this time.
