Cargo ship tilting in Hartlepool

Fri Apr 05 18:58:04 CEST 2019 Timsen

The "Tango Sol" developed a heavy list to starboard side within short time and was in danger of capsizing after she docked at the Victoria quay in Hartlepool on March 29, 2019. The ship had arrived at Hartlepool on March 27 and was still listing on April 5. Timewise the crew left the ship and went ashore. The ship was under detention by the Maritime Coastguard Agency. The insurers are currently working with relevant authorities to identify the issue and rectify, although the vessel remained stable at this time.
