Subsea 7 awarded two contracts

Norwegian offshore service provider Subsea 7 has secured two separate contracts from Jan de Nul and One Subsea. The Jan de Nul contract is for the transportation, pre-piling and installation of 47 jacket foundations for wind turbines in the Formosa 2 Offshore Wind Farm project in Taiwan. The company’s subsidiary Seaway 7 will execute the work in 2020 and 2021 using the heavy lift vessels Seaway Yudin and Seaway Strashnov.

Eight out of 32 monopile foundations have been installed on the Trianel Windpark Borkum II in the German North Sea, the project’s developers said. Seaway Heavy Lifting’s (SHL) Stanislav Yudin installed the first monopile on the site some 40km north of the island of Borkum at the end of June. The remaining 24 monopile foundations and just as many transition pieces will be delivered by barges from Nordenham and installed by Stanislav Yudin by late summer. The monopile foundations will support 32 Senvion 6.33MW wind turbines which will be installed by Jan De Nul and are scheduled to be commissioned by the end of 2019. The 200MW Trianel Windpark Borkum II project is owned by EWE AG (37.5%), ewz Offshore Borkum GmbH (24.51%) and 17 German municipal utilities together with Trianel GmbH (37.99%). Subsea 7 announces acquisition of Seaway Heavy Lifting

Luxembourg – 13 March 2017 - Subsea 7 S.A. (Oslo Børs: SUBC, ADR: SUBCY) today announced the acquisition, from K&S Baltic Offshore (Cyprus) Limited, of its 50% shareholding in Seaway Heavy Lifting Holding Limited (Seaway Heavy Lifting). Following signing and completion, after close of business on 10 March 2017, Seaway Heavy Lifting and its subsidiaries became wholly-owned by Subsea 7 (the Group).
