The British destroyer HMS Daring was damaged in a collision with the "Svitzer Suxxex" on Sep 7, 2010, when returning from routine operations to Marchwood, on Southampton Water. The tug lost power to its engines as it was about to start towing the 7,500 tonne Portsmouth-based ship into the port. HMS "Daring" is a Type 45 Class air defence destroyer, and was only commissioned into the Navy last year.
