Gretha stuck by low river tide
The "Gretha van Holland“ had to berth in Rinteln on Apr 10, 2012, after having struck stones on the Weser bottom several times short before reaching the city while approaching the Weseranger bridge. The Weser had 70 centimetres less water depth than in March so that the ship had to interrupt its voyage from the winter lay up in Bremen to the lakes in Mecklenburg. There was a crew of four and six transit passengers on board. The ship will have to stay at least until Feb 13.
