Repairs in Tuzla completed

After tightness test completions of the entire steel replacement carried out at Tuzla and the trials and performance tests at sea, the 'Tour 2' finally sailed from the repair yard on Feb 1. A new set of trade certificates has been issued, and the ship headed through the Gulf of Oman to Bandar Abbas as first port of call after repairs with an ETA as of Feb 18.

First sea trials after grounding

On Jan 3, 2020, the 'Tour 2' shifted from the shipyard in Tuzla to the port's anchorage area and carried out sea trials, together with further test of pumps, auxiliary engines and steering systems, under presence of class surveyors and owners' superintendent. The vessel has since returned to the shipyard to complete final repairs of the remaining outstanding issues. Upon completion of entire repairs, a new set of trading certificate will be issued by classification society and flag state authority.

Piping and pumping system under repair and steel replacement carried out

The 'Tour 2' besides steel cutting and replacement at the damaged bottom at a repair yard in Tuzla underwent a tightness test upoin completion of the entire steel replacement work. By Nov 16 the tanker was also getting its piping and pumping system repaired.
