The "Isabel Knutsen" was refloated in the early morning of July 16, 2010, and was anchored just outside the Port of Galveston. Tugboats were able to free the tanker in the night with no damage to the ship. It was carrying more than 17,000 tons of liquid chemical and about 700 tons of fuel oil. None of the chemicals were spilled, but some of them were offloaded to reduce the weight.
