In the afternoon of Apr 3 the removal of the detached boxes commenced with the assistance of a mobile crane in order to proceed with the rearrangement of the remainder of the cargo. Container collapsed on cargo deck
On May 1, 2017, at 7.40 a.m. the "San Rafael" docked at the commercial wharf in Vigo with shifted and collapsed containers stacks hanging over the starboard side on the main deck. Some containers seemed to have been lost. The Maritime Rescue and Port authority indicated there was no serious damage. The cause of the cargo damage was not clear at present and could have been storm damage as well as faulty stowage. The ship had sailed from Lobito on Apr 2.
