Repair in Hvide Sande

The disabled "Sea Gale" was towed into the port of Hvide Sande on May 21 at 12.50 p.m. and was to be repaired at the yard Hvide Sande Skibs- og Baadebyggeri.

The "Sea Gale" was taken in tow by the Dutch tug "Viking" (IMO: 9431903), off Helgoland in the afternoon of May 20. The convoy was heading to Esbjerg. The German Casualty Command in Cuxhaven which had taken over the command in the morning ended its work at 6.30 p.m. Three fires in the engine room and exhaust system of the vessel had been extinguished at 1.30 p.m. The anti pollution vessel "Mellum" (IMO: 8301981) escorted the ships as a precaution until all wind parks were passed.
