Crew member falls overboard, ship diverted to Bermuda
At approximately 6:00pm this evening [June 29], the pilot boat St. George transported an injured crew member from the car ship M/V Green Lake to an awaiting ambulance at Ordnance Island, Bernews reports . We unofficially understand that sometime yesterday the 54 year old crew member was working on the ship when a ladder he was on broke, throwing him over the side of the ship. A life ring and smoke flare were deployed from the moving ship as it slowed to return to the fallen crew member.
