TRINIDAD 1 8917871

Fri Mar 12 18:33:29 CET 2010 Timsen

On Mar 12, 2010, at 4.04 a.m. the "Amber" and the Dutch coaster "Noblesse-C", 1095 gt (IMO: 7823308) were in collision at Vatlestraum narrow south of Bergen. The coast guard vessels "Tor" and "Bergen" were soon on scene. The "Amber" had run aground after the collision. Both ships had pilots on board, but there was a failure in communication. Divers were to survey the "Ambe" which is operated by the Euroafrican Shipping Lines´and was underway to Bergen. Both ships entered the port of Bergen with own power after the accident, escorted by the "Tor". Here they actually remain.
